Chris Lorway
Artistic Director, LuminatoFestival

Chris Lorway leads the artistic team as Luminato's Artistic Director. Chris has worked extensively in the international arts community for more than 12 years and has been involved in a number of high‐profile festivals including The Lincoln Center Festival, The New Yorker Festival, The Henson International Puppet Festival, and Nova Scotia's Celtic Colours International Festival which he helped to launch. Prior to joining Luminato, Chris was a Senior Consultant at one of the world's leading strategic consulting firms for the cultural sector, AEA Consulting. While at AEA, Chris worked on strategic initiatives with Carnegie Hall, The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Edinburgh Festivals and Jacob's Pillow. He also worked on a number of large‐scale development projects including the West Kowloon Cultural District (Hong Kong), the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site in New York and "Bring New Orleans Back" a city‐led commission that examined how culture could be used as a catalyst to rebuild a major American city.

Yvan Gauthier

With over 20 years of experience in the arts and culture sector, Mr. Gauthier was appointed Chair of the Board of Canada's largest arts council - the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Quebec in July of 2004.

The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec is a government corporation whose mission it is to support throughout Québec artistic and literary research and creation, experimentation, production and dissemination in the realms of the visual arts, the arts and crafts, literature, the performing arts, the multidisciplinary arts, the media arts, and architectural research. It also promotes artists, writers and arts organizations and their works in Québec, the rest of Canada and abroad.
